I came to New York from Ohio in 1982 to work as a production management intern at the Julliard School. After completing my internship, I completed my BFA in Scenic Design and Lighting at Ohio State. I returned to New York and worked as an Equity Stage Manager until 1991.
That year, I was invited to assist Gary Marec, author of “Tax Guide for Performers”, in his tax practice specializing in the performing arts. I found that I had an interest in navigating the complex world of taxes. I passed the IRS special enrollment examination and was certified as an Enrolled Agent in 1993.
Wishing to provide additional services to my clients, I completed the three year program offered by the Certified Financial Planning Board and became a CFP® in 1995, formally adding financial planning through my affiliation with Avantax Advisory ServicesSM to my practice
I am passionate about what I do and enjoy sharing that passion with all my clients.
